From 17 July till 30 August, Brutus will transform into a landscape of hidden treasures. During Wild Summer of Art 2026 – The Treasure Hunt Edition, fifty Rotterdam-based artists reveal a lesser-known, unexpected side of their practice. Throughout the building, these hidden discoveries await those willing to explore.
Join us on 17 July as we embark on the treasure hunt together during the festive opening!
What to expect
The full programme will be announced in our next email, but we can already offer you a small preview.The treasure map will be revealed and the first clues will be given. Mayor Carola Schouten will officially open the exhibition and start the hunt. Theatre collective Grande Loge will present a performance by artists from AZC Gouden Bergen. Amen and Fugazi will host a block party in the Brutus Garden. Vera Nederhof presents the first Brutus Takeover with a boxing performance at the intersection of sport, ritual and performance art.
