 Nieuw werk ‘De profundis’, 60 x 50 cm, 2016 Van vrijdag 12 augustus tot vrijdag 30 september zal bij galerie Vonkel de expositie ‘HOLLAND’ te zien zijn. Holland is een project van singer-songwriter Mark Lotterman. Lotterman vraagt kunstenaars, wetenschappers, schoolklassen, dichters, filmmakers en allerlei andere ‘gewone’ mensen bij te dragen aan zijn laatste albumrelease. De expositie Holland laat een selectie zien van tot dusver bijgedragen werk.
Mijn nieuwste werk ‘De profundis’ maakte ik speciaal bij het titelnummer van het album. Dit werk is prominent in de expositie opgenomen. Ook is nieuw werk te zien van Marie Pop; een nieuw duo bestaande uit kunstenaar Anique Weve en mijzelf. Naast de eerste werken die nu al te zien zijn, gemaakt bij Lottermans nummer ‘Happy’, zal tijdens de Haagse kunstrondgang ‘Hoogtij’ op vrijdag 30 september meer van ons gezamenlijke, nieuwe werk in de galerie gepresenteerd worden, alsook buiten de galerie in een ontzettend Hollandsche caravan!

From 12 August until 30 September, Vonkel gallery will present the exhibition ‘HOLLAND’. Holland is a project by singer-songwriter Mark Lotterman. Lotterman is releasing his latest album online, song by song, and asks artists, scientists, school classes, poets, filmmakers and all kinds of other ‘normal’ people to contribute something to (t)his project. The current exhibition shows a selection of contributed works.
I created my latest work, ‘De profundis’, especially for the title track and this work will be on show during the exhibition. Also, Mark Lotterman and Vonkel will be showing new works by Marie Pop; a newly formed artist duo consisting of artist Anique Weve and myself. Our first works together, created for Lotterman’s song ‘Happy’, will be on show during the Holland exhibition.
During ‘Hoogtij’, an art tour in The Hague on 30 september, we will also be presenting more of our new, combined works in the gallery as well as opposite to it, in our extremely Dutch caravan!
